Ever thought that death could be the solution to your problem?
You can’t really do it because the process of death, dying, is not favorable when you want it to be quick and easy. You just wait it out, even wishing to magically disappear someday. Living, on the other hand, is already hard as it is. We want to escape it.
It is real life, so we can't run away from it; we have to face our daily needs in order to live.
We're afraid of living because every day is a competition, inside and outside our households. There is daily chaos we have to witness, even the littlest ones. We think that living is too extreme because it is.
But how can we live when we're barely surviving?
As unbearable as it sounds, you don't have to survive to live. Living in the moment as if nothing's wrong, but the pounding weight we have to carry on our backs is proof that sometimes it's hard to move when your life sucks. It affects your personal and social well-being. You just live and wait. Maybe something good will happen.
We fear to live because the world is not open to everyone. Not everyone has the privilege to live a good life—a happy one, rather. The more we think about it, the heavier the pressure becomes. Our productivity is always short. All we do then is lay on our beds, scolding ourselves because we could've done a lot if we didn't take a break from everything and lay on the bed. Sometimes we don't even stand up and just stay in bed, processing our thoughts, how we will try to live this day, and how to overcome our fear.
Again, living is a competition. Every day, we compete to live. That's why war is happening. Humans are just like animals, after all, but more cruel. The extremeness of life carries our minds to the thoughts of dying, but dying is too much to handle, and what if you just wake up after trying?
We try to avoid living too much, even when there's a greater road ahead of us. We are afraid of the outcome it will give. Never going out of your comfort zone.
I don't want to die; I just don't want to live. Because living is never easy, but I don't want to look distraught all the time.
"Is life really that hard?" The answer only depends on how you see people around you. Live your life, even if it's hard. Even if it feels scary most of the time.
And maybe that's what it comes down to—finding the courage to live despite the fear, the struggle, and the uncertainty. We all have moments when we feel overwhelmed and defeated, but in those moments, it's important to remember that we're not alone. Everyone is fighting their own battles, and it's okay to feel scared or lost. What's important is to keep going, to keep searching for those small glimpses of happiness and hope. Because, in the end, those are what make life worth living. Maybe, just maybe, amid this struggle, you'll find moments worth living for.
